Viewing surface which is flame and mildew resistant is raised and lowered by turning a detachable, polished aluminum crank handle. This manual projector screen can be mounted to the wall or ceiling. It retracts completely inside the case. Its back and top is of extruded aluminum in L-shaped section and front in a contoured shape. Built-in tensioning system holds screen surface flat. Crank is removable when not in use. Endcaps die-cast, of rounded design, flush with case contour. Front section is easily removable for access to operator and viewing surface. Bottom of viewing surface is enclosed in dowel which is to disappear inside case when retracted. Top of surface is masked by 12-inch black drop
